snowey days....

Hello from the Wedding Home... pictures for you all... and if you read through to the end you might just hear some crazy news from our home to yours. :)

The view from our back window. I've really gotten spoiled by the beautiful rolling hills here in Germany. We have a lovely view (when it's not raining, foggy or too cloudy... which is admittedly more than I'd like to admit) and are surrounded by nature. Something I might miss in the near future... hint hint.

Anjuns first snowman! built by papa, and kissed by Anjun. He loved it.

Sebas built me a pretty cool Advent Calender/Christmas countdown. Every day Anjun and I, over breakfast, get to open a new gift.... we both love it. It's a huge tree branch hung up over the dining room table, with lots of little (and some not so little) gifts hanging down from it.

The window, still Anjun s fav spot. Sebas even built him a special step stool the perfect height to climb up and see what's going on here in Happerschoss. Naturally, the village covered in snow was quite a sight to see...

Sledding with Anjun too, omg, this snow stuff is awesome!

Earlier this month was yet another holiday, Nikolaus. Where kids put out shoes or plates or what have you and Nikolaus brings you (over night) a little treat or gift. Our first time celebrating. I think we're really going to like this seeing the holidays through our childrens eyes thing. It was fun.

And finally, if you've made it this far, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to look over some pics and read briefly about what me and my little family are up to. I really appreciate feeling connected to you all even though we may be geographically far. And now we're going even farther...

For a bit...

We're going to India in Feb. For three months. To keep it short, Sebas and I feel a calling to live in a place more in line with our values and beliefs. We want locally grown, organic food, unlimited classes and spiritual development, to live in a place where our children will benefit from the best experiences we can offer, to learn and grow together.... to be part of something greater.... to give, love, and realize- of many things- the fact that we are all one on this earth, dare I say universe.

So we will visit Auroville, the place that brought us together, and see if that place that once brought us together could bring us our dreams for this life as well.

We will see.

And we will, of course, keep you posted.

Pre-Christmas season post....

Just barely making it before it's OFFICIAL Christmas season.... I think. ok, ok. not really. December 1st should be the beginning of the Christmas season but it's really already begun.

But November was good prep for a busy Christmas time... St.Martin is big here, then Anjun's Birthday... and a recent trip to Frankfurt to get Marlo his passport. And of course, the busy schedule of keeping two small children fed, happy, dry and rested... a husband trying to enjoy some family time while also working on our future and things around the house... all part of being a mom and small family I guess.

First was St. Martin... a Catholic holiday (these Germany LOVE Catholic holidays.. seriously, I learned in my integration course they have the worlds most holidays off of work. And they're pretty much all Catholic holidays).

Basics: little kids make little lanterns and follow a man in a red cape on a horse singing songs...
It all ends with a parade, bon fire and goodies. Quite sweet... and Anjun and I's first St Martin!!!!!!!

Anjun got a handmade Fire truck lantern... made by yours truly. It was a hit with little boys everywhere.

Bath time is always a good time for some skin time... and Marlo is just so kissable....

And cute while he's wet... Anjun agrees. He was going back and fourth from kissing\admiring his bathing brother to freaking out that he was not also simultaneously getting a bath because whatever Marlo gets or has Anjun MUST also have. oh my...

But this lead to both boys somehow being naked and Anjun delivering this masterful hug

The excitement is priceless. But he gets so excited that his hugs are more like him man handling poor little Marlo and squeezing him as hard as he can.

Then Anjun's Birthday party... started out with some family and then some friends came, and it was totally as crazy as a birthday party should be. A trip to Anjun's favorite spot... a lake nearby and a walk.

Then of course, cake, toys, playing, and a little paper crown that had a '2' on it. Every now and then he would reach up either to straiten it or to re-realize it was there. He was very happy wearing it. omg, pic below...

Marlo is doing the CU-TEST little sounds with droll, flapping lips and a little squeal mixed in. this pic catches him in the middle of one of them. It's so freakin cute. Did I mention how cute it is? It's so cute. really.

Check. out. this. face. Do you see it? (below) No, really look at it. Anjun got a workbench... FINALLY a place where he can hit things as hard as he wants to. As loud as he wants to. And we cheer him on, not scold him and take something away. This is perfect for his current phase in life. But the face. He's looking as me, in the corner of his eye, like 'you're really going to let me do this!?'

Enjoy the busy beginnings of Christmas season.

 Much love

October...I mean November

Somehow my late October post has turned into an early November post. I wonder how that happened... oh, wait I know, I HAVE TWO YOUNG CHILDREN. and nothing (I mean literally, nothing) happens in the time frame it used to. Let's hope this helps me with an important lesson of letting go. Marlo is getting to be a very talkative little man. I am amazed at the rate at which he's growing. He's fallen into a nice rhythm of naps in the day - and still sleeps happily in his bed or in the baby wrap (check out the snow bear hat!!!).

Anjun LOVES to climb up his chair and open the window and check out what's going in in our little village. He can now say bus and butter (two of his favorite things, to ride and eat respectively) and has been playing around withtrying to say juice and please...

Sebas and I recently celebrated our anniversary. Check out my cake. It's a half chocolate, half almond cake (my fav=choc, Sebas fav=almonds/marzipan) in three layers with raspberry marmalade, marzipan and chocolate between each layer and over everything a cream/chocolate combination and a Marzipan OM on top. omg. It was so freaking good.

Anjun LOVES to kiss Marlo, recently he grabs him and wants to give him a hug... he also gently 'pets' him, and does the cutest little shrugging-his-shoulders-and-smiling-slash-squinting-his-eyes-and-hunching-over-thing when Marlo does something cute. Clearly he gets that from us... ok, probably more me. And of course, all this loving is mixed, sometimes combined with threatening to hit, bite and or throw things at Marlo. Oh, the joys of being a parent of a two year old and baby....
In the above pic Anjun started with kissing Marlos head, then he gets sucked in like a huge magnet and rubs his cheeks against his head... then neck..or ears... then back to kissing.  All while closing his eyes and humming/squealing.  It's so precious.

This is a timer shot while we're having our last picnic just around the corner from our house. Timer shots are the only way we get a family pic in these days... check out the one on the bottom of this post :)

Marlo, wrestling an owl!

Anjun picking the grass... he's growing up so much. He'll be two in a week. whoa.

And this is what happens when we try to get a spontaneous timer family shot. Next time, a german holiday: St Martin and Anjuns second Birthday!!!

 'til then

Both boys at work...

A rare video of both boys.

Marlo has been roll over crazy these past few days... it's horribly cute - I lay him down, and he almost instantly rolls over.  I don't blame him, Anjun is always showing  him things and he can see more than just the ceiling.  But it makes diaper changes kind of a pain.

Anjun is eager to show Marlo things, all the time.  And give him kisses, and rub his head against Marlos in a loving cuddling way.  He now says not just mama and papa, ja and nein (no in german) but mouse, moo like a cow and occasionally he'll repeat something we say but nothing else has 'stuck'.  But I'm ok with that.  He understands us and doesn't repeat everything therefore we don't have to watch so much what we say.  yet.

More pics soon...

love

I love it when he eats my fingers...

Here's Marlo, in the cute, babbling, making oh so adorable noises phase...

growing boys...

I know, it's been too long.  Tried to get the blog posted before Sebas left but just didn't happen.  The weeks before he left for Canada for a week were busy with preparations, family time and whatnot.  But good news, we survived a week without my lovely husband.  It was hard, and stressful, and I missed my husband in a way that I cannot even accurately describe.  And Sebas had a very good, powerful, transformative, successful week in Canada.  He's a certified Integral Coach!!!  And now for the pics....

Anjun in Papa's shirt.. really?!  someday he'll actually fit into a shirt this size?!  No way.... and below Marlo showing off his head holding up skills while talking with papa.

Above, Anjun has neatly sorted out his dinner, meat on the left, noodles on the right, and he's drinking the cream sauce strait out of the bowl.  Below, a daily occurrence in our house, Marlo enjoying some couch time and Anjun showing him toys.  They are so freakin adorable together.  For a couple days Anjun was having trouble getting me to understand what he wanted (he kept pointing at me, then at a toy or the sofa... I couldn't put it together) but finally, he wants to show Marlo everything!  toys, how he washes his hands, his bed etc etc etc....

Marlo watching Sebas make a fire in our fireplace, very entertaining...
Family pic on a recent outing.  Below:  Marlo's bath time

And my amazing husband. with his two boys.  so precious.

I feel a video upload coming soon..... Marlo's talking and squeeling like crazy and it's just so cute.

That's all for now.

August fun

 Greetings from the Wedding house!

This is what Marlo looks like when I chat with him...

and this is what I look like.

I love it.

he's such a cutie...
The boys playing on the bed... on a hot day.  We had a few hot days that ended up in us all walking around the flat with (the kids) nothing on or (us) just enough clothing so we didn't stick to whatever surface we wanted to sit on.... t.m.i.?  hope not.
Marlo enjoys some time with papa, chatting.  I'm not sure what they're chatting about... but it seems important.  and funny.

Meanwhile we've had some summer fun hanging out with friends and family.  Here's Anjun reading with his cousin Jona.  Anjun looks like he's saying something like 'are you sure?'.  And below my favorite spot in the garden with my baby.  I've even gotten to enjoy it... I think three times.... for 5-15 minutes each.  Mother of small baby and almost two year old does not equal the summer in the hammock I was dreaming of.
 Anjun's first ever hair cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before pic: note the crazy curls on the sides of his head... it was quite out of control on the sides and back, but totally flat and thin on top.  borderline mullet.  something had to be done.

During shots:  in the bath tub.  sebas took marlo, i quickly grabbed the comb and scissors.  had to distract him with something and as fast as possible, silently and without making a big deal cut away.

curls in the sink......

After:  he looks so much older.

I think I'll post a video soon..

Just a few more weeks of "normal" life, then Sebas goes to Canada to complete his final week of his Integral Life Coaching study.  He's busy wrapping everything up and finishing all case write ups...

then...

a week alone with the two boys!

I think I can I think I can I think I can.....

Much love, enjoy your summers while you can!
