Wow, Anjun is now over two months!!! Sebastian was right, once you have a child it's like stepping into a time warp... in the moment things go slow - but then day to day, week to week time FLIES!
A few recent discoveries we've made. I've discovered that I will always have spit up on my right and possibly my left shoulders. I used to wash a shirt or sweater after just a little spit up or milk, now my tolerance for it has grown rapidly. Today I took a sweater out of my closet, put it on and it already had spit up on the shoulder. Wonderful.
.
Anjun has started drooling. On everything. We're still in the 'oh it's so cute' phase. I wonder when it will get old. He's also discovered his hands! It's so SO cute to see him trying to get his little hand up to his mouth, then the thumb in the mouth. A lot of work. And he starts to reach out for things and is amazed when he touches or moves something. He also talks a lot now, mostly when we're changing him, but pretty much any time he's lying down and someone is talking with him. Precious.
(pic above - not just sucking on his hand.. any hand will do. And pic right - this discovery of his thumb resulted in a 3 hour nap!!!)
Oh, and he's finally grown out of newborn clothes!! Especially with cloth diapers, there's pretty much no chance he'll fit in them anymore...now I know what people mean when the say "They grow up so fast!"
Sebastian and I are loving every (ok, pretty much every) moment of parenthood. We balance each other our pretty well. Not just energetically, but in a lot of other ways too - I hold Anjun on my right shoulder the most, and Sebastian on his left etc etc. We've put some energy into planning, and hopefully in the coming weeks we'll know the plan for this year... America wedding... School for Sebas in Canada... and who knows what else!
Much love - Wedding family
